Pioneer Duals Results

The Victor Wrestlers traveled to Pioneer HS to take on a strong field featuring Division I Hilton, the top team in the state and 5th ranked Division II Team Pioneer. Other teams competing were: Newfane, West Seneca West, Letchworth, Starpoint, and Kenmore West.

Victor finished 5-2 on the day with large margin victories over the 5 teams they defeated. The two losses came to Hilton and Pioneer. Victor put in a strong effort against Hilton, with just two matches remaining Victor held a 32-30 lead but in the end Hilton was just too much for the Blue Devils and the final score was 32-42. The Pioneer match was an exciting one and came right down to the wire, this one could have gone either way as many matches were decided by 2 points or less. Pioneer won out in the end by a final score of 36-28.

Six Victor Wrestlers finished the tournament with a 7-0 record. Those wrestlers were; Alex Samson, Tucker Hill, Mike Venosa, Jack Kumpf, John Garbeck, and Ryan Flaitz
